"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1: 18

"O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches." Psalm 104: 24
This current season, through which we are passing, is a beautiful time to reflect on the goodness of our Creator. The cold winter months have gone and spring has arrived, bringing new life and freshness to the earth. Although seasons come and go quickly and the weather is always changing, our LORD Who created the earth and it's weather is immutable - never changing. He is a steadfast and sure foundation for all His creation to trust in and will sustain us by His sovereign power. God promises to those who trust and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Amidst life's challenges, this promise brings such peace and assurance that only Christ can give. Life will be filled with blessings and trials, which can feel much like a roller-coaster ride and quite unstable at times, but through all of this, we can lean on God - our Rock and Deliverer. We can call upon His name for strength to endure and trust Him no matter what. The following hymn is one of my favorites, and is fitting to meditate on through all seasons of life... May God Bless Your Day! Praise to the Lord, the Almighty Words by: Joachim Neander; Catherine Winkworth
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near; Praise Him in glad adoration! Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth, Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth! Hast thou not seen how thy desires e'er have been Granted in what He ordaineth? Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee; Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do If with His love He befriend thee. Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen sound from His people again; Gladly for aye we adore Him! Have you ever stopped a minute to look at the delicate beauty displayed in just one little mushroom? They are so unique, and are a fine display of our Creator's handiwork.....yet we often overlook them in our busy life.
One foggy morning last week, as my sister and I were returning to the house after our farm chores, we stepped into our greenhouse to take a peak at the growing vegetables. It was quite hilarious and shocking what we saw when we walked in.....MUSHROOMS peppering the straw-bales! Apparently, they speedily grew overnight because my other sister had pulled up the previous "batch" the day before. Well, since the light was nicely diffused by the greenhouse walls, I couldn't help but run to go get my camera. And what a delight and blessing it was to spend a good 15 minutes out there, capturing a very small fraction of the vast array of beauty He created. May we all be diligently recognizing the little "things" in life - always praising the LORD and giving Him glory for who He is and what He does. "Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:" Jeremiah 32: 17 KJV |
